Slumber CBN sent over their Sleep Aid Oil Tincture and Sleep Aid Softgels for me to try. I was excited to be able to try CBN on its own as this is the first time I’ve ever tried dedicated CBN products.
Slumber CBN Oil Tincture Review
The Slumber CBN Oil Tincture comes in a 0.5 fl oz glass vial with a dropper lid. The vial itself is labeled with Slumber’s sweet polar bear on the moon logo and also contains supplement facts, an ingredient list, as well as suggested use instructions. The instructions state that a full dropper is 5mg of CBN. Besides CBN, the tincture also contains linalool and Beta-Caryophyllene terpenes.
To try out the CBN oil tincture, I took one full dropper about a half hour before my planned sleeping time. The Dreamsicle flavoring is very light, and not overpowering. Most importantly, it doesn’t react badly to the taste of toothpaste so it is safe to use after brushing your teeth.
Within about forty minutes, I could clearly feel the effects of the CBN. The feeling of CBN is not psychoactive like THC and to me, it is more noticeable than CBD because I felt its effects are more physical than mental. If I had to sum up the way that CBN made me feel, which helped me fall asleep, I would say that being on CBN feels like the bottom of a breath. You feel like you have the ability to let go and drift off to sleep. To continue this analogy, the next morning feels like a deep breath of fresh air from your first moment awake. I felt so well-rested and I particularly liked that my eyes didn’t feel heavy when I woke up.

Slumber CBN Softgels Review
The Slumber CBN Softgels come in a plastic jar with a childproof top. The labeling features the iconic Slumber bear on the moon logo front and center with Non-GMO and other certifications on the side. The label also features supplement facts, an ingredient list, and suggested usage instructions. Besides CBN, the softgels also contain Beta-Caryophyllene and MCT oil.
I took two CBN softgels an hour before my designated bedtime as suggested by Slumber for a total CBN dose of 10mg. As I turned off the light and walked from the light switch to my bed, the darkness helped trigger a context switch that let me know just how ready for sleep I was. It’s hard to know exactly how long it took to fall asleep, but I felt that I fell asleep sooner than usual.
As a personal aside, many years ago in college before I discovered natural sleep aids, I had trouble sleeping because my roommate snored very loudly. I wish that CBN pills were available to be shipped to my door in those years, as it would have saved me from becoming dependent on regular sleeping pills. Eventually, my living circumstances changed and I was able to sleep without over the counter sleep aids, but many people don’t have that luxury.
The biggest issue I had with regular sleeping pills was that they’d make me sleep through my alarms. After days of repeated use with varying lengths of sleep, I can confidently say that CBN does not cause the same issue. Whether you only have four hours to sleep or you have a solid eight and a half hours, adding some CBN to my sleep routine made those hours feel more restful.

Slumber Sleep Aid 3 Day Sleep Kit Review
The Slumber CBN Sleeper Kit comes in a resealable bag that is entirely covered in Slumber CBN’s signature blue and white colors. The bag features the Slumber CBN bear on the moon logo and the inside of the bag contains six CBN softgels with 5mg CBN each. Unlike the softgels that came in the jar, the CBN softgels that are part of the 3-day sleep kit actually contain the dreamsicle flavored CBN oil from Slumber’s CBN Oil Tincture.
For three nights straight, I took two softgels out of the bag, swallowed them, then resealed the bag. I followed the instructions and took the softgels an hour before bed and the feeling was slightly different than I experienced with the regular Slumber CBN softgels likely due to the added Linalool.
The experience was more similar to the CBN “buzz – non-psychoactive – that I experienced from the CBN oil tincture, but it was not as fast-acting. It was still just as effective, though. I woke up feeling well-rested and noted the calmness and lack of pressure that let me drift peacefully into sleep once I was in bed.
