Oil pen
As we all know, vape pens are very popular because of their portability and discreetness. For first time smokers, an oil vape pen is an attractive option because it is so easy to use and it packs a punch without the odor of packing a bowl or smoking a joint. Sure vape pens are fairly easy to use and they don’t require a lot of brainpower but at the same time, if you don’t know how to properly use an oil vape pen, you run the risk of burning the oil or wasting your pen. So today we’re going to show you how to properly use a CBD oil vape pen and how to properly care for it for a long-lasting smoking accessory.

How to Use an Oil Vape Pen

Oil vape pens, like any other smoking accessory, differ according to model, brand, build, and capabilities.  For this example, we are going to be looking at Slyng’s Ceramic Variable Voltage Vape Pen. This top of the line pen lets you customize the amount of heat to adjust to your comfort, and includes all the essentials, including the vape pen charger and carrying case.

The first step is making sure your pen is fully charged. Most pens will come out of the box ready to use, but it’s always good to charge it for at least an hour or so to make sure it’s fully charged. Make sure you don’t overcharge because it could waste the battery and shorten it. The next step is attaching the cartridge, to do this simply twist in the cartridge until you feel it tighten. Make sure it’s nice and snug because if it is not tightened properly it could prevent the oil from heating properly. The third and final step is pressing the button and taking a hit. This varies between smokers and depends on your comfort level and tolerance. If you are a first-timer, take small puffs to build your tolerance, if you are more experienced, you can take long, drawn-out hits to get the best effect. It’s important to not hold the button for too long because the pen can overheat and literally burn the oil which will give it an unpleasant taste. Pens like the Ceramic Variable Voltage Vape Pen also carry self-filling oil cartridges that allow the smoker to fill in their own oils. Confused about how to do that?  We got you covered.

How to Load a Vape Pen with Oil

There are a couple of ways to refill your pen. There’s the easy way of simply replacing your cartridge. Or you can also fill a vape pen with oil manually. To load your vape pen with oil, unscrew the empty cartridge and replace it with a new, full oil cartridge. Similar to putting the oil in, you want to make sure you screw it on nice and snug to get the full effects. The other method of replacing an empty cartridge or adding more oil is to do it manually. For the best results, you need an empty cartridge, some of your favorite oil, and a dropper. It can be a messy thing to do, but with a dropper and precision, the process is a lot smoother. Oil pen The first step is unscrewing and pulling out the mouthpiece. This is the easiest way to do it and the least likely to cause a mess. The second step is using the dropper to get the oil and use it a way to prevent any spills or messes. Be careful not to overfill the cartridge, most cartridges can hold anywhere from .5ml to 1ml so be aware before filling it. Once you fill it, simply screw the mouthpiece back on to secure the oil. Lightly pull on the mouthpiece to make sure it’s secure and tight. After you do all that, take a few pulls of the pen to make sure everything is working properly.

Can You Smoke CBD Oil in a Vape Pen?

With the smoking/cannabis industry still being somewhat new and people still trying to understand CBD, wax, concentrates, and other smoking methods, it’s easy to pose the question if you can use different oils in one vape pen. More importantly, can you smoke CBD oil in a vape pen? The answer is, unfortunately, no, this is because CBD oils aren’t meant to be melted and inhaled, but rather ingested. If you want to feel the effects of CBD, there are some CBD infused vape juices and e-liquids available to use.
